| The Clapp/Whitcomb wellfield, located in West Acton just off
Route 111, draws water from the Whitcomb and Clapp wells. Water from the Whitcomb (32 foot
deep gravel-packed well) and Clapp (42 foot deep gravel-packed well) are delivered to the
on-site treatment facility where it is treated prior to entering the distribution system.
When fully operational, the Clapp/Whitcomb wellfield can deliver a maximum of 525 gallons
per minute. |
